Circuit Description

Circuit No. 1836 (Yellow wire) supplies data from Passlock(R) sensor to BCM. DTC B2960 will set when ignition 0 is active and Passlock(R) code does not equal learned key code while trying to start engine for 3 key cycles or if Passlock(R) code does not equal learned key code for 1 second while driving. When DTC is set vehicle will not start and SECURITY indicator will flash for 10 minutes. BCM will go to sleep and wake up after fault is cleared. DTC will clear from history after ignition switch is cycled on and off 100 times with no faults present. DTC can also be cleared using scan tool.
