Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1999 Pontiac Grand Am and 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Front fog lamp relay is controlled by grounding the relay coil circuit through the BCM. DTC B2532 will set if ignition 1 is active and fog lamp relay output is shorted to ground for longer than 5 seconds with front fog lamp switch in OFF position. When DTC is present, BCM will go to sleep. BCM will wake up after fault is cleared. DTC will clear from history after ignition switch is cycled on and off 100 times with no faults present. DTC can also be cleared using scan tool.
