Seat Does Not Move Forward/Back

    Use test light to backprobe between ground and seat adjuster motor connector C1 terminal "A" (Tan wire). Seat adjuster motor is located under respective seat, mounted to seat track. Press power seat switch to forward position. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 7).

    Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe seat adjuster motor connector C1 terminal "B" (Light Green wire). Press power seat switch to back position. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 10).

    Use test light and backprobe between seat adjuster motor connector C1 terminals "A" (Tan wire) and "B" (Light Green wire). Press power seat switch to forward, then back position. If test light comes on in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not come on in both positions, go to step 9).

    Check for poor connections at seat adjuster motor connector C1. If connections are okay, go to next step. If connections are not okay, go to step 6).

    Repair poor connections at connector C1. Recheck circuit operation.

    Replace seat adjuster motor. See DRIVE MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.

    Use DVOM and check for poor connection or open in Tan wire between power seat switch and seat adjuster motor connector C1. If connection and circuits are okay, go to step 9). If circuit is not okay, go to next step.

  8. 8

    Repair poor connection or open in Tan wire between power seat switch and seat adjuster motor connector C1. Recheck system operation.

    Replace power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.

  10. 7

    Use DVOM and check for poor connection or open in Light Green wire between power seat switch and seat adjuster motor connector C1. If connection and circuits are okay, go to step 9). If circuit is not okay, go to next step.

  11. 8

    Repair poor connection or open in Light Green wire between power seat switch and seat adjuster motor connector C1. Recheck system operation.
