Entire Seat Will Not Go Forward/Back, Up/Down Functions Operate Normally
- Use test light and backprobe between ground and seat adjuster motor connector C1 terminal "A" (Tan wire). Move power seat switch to forward position. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 3).
- Backprobe between ground and seat adjuster motor connector C1 terminal "B" (Light Green wire). Move power seat switch to back position. If test light comes on, go to step 6). If test light does not come on, go to step 7).
- Check for poor connection or open in Tan wire between seat adjuster motor and power seat switch. If connection and circuit are okay, go to step 5). If connection and circuit are okay, go to next step.
- Repair poor connection or open in Tan wire between seat adjuster motor and power seat switch. Recheck system operation.
- Replace power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Backprobe between seat adjuster motor connector C1 terminals "A" (Tan wire) and "B" (Light Green wire). Move power seat switch to forward, then back positions. If test light comes on in both positions, go to step 9). If test light does not come on in both positions, go to step 5).
- Check for poor connection or open in Light Green wire between seat adjuster motor and power seat switch. If connection and circuit are okay, go to step 5). If connection and circuit are not okay, go to next step.
- Repair poor connection or open in Light Green wire between seat adjuster motor and power seat switch. Recheck system operation.
- Check for poor connections at forward/back motor. If connections are okay, go to step 11).
- Repair poor connection at forward/back motor. Recheck system operation
- Replace forward/back motor. See DRIVE MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
