Diagnostic Procedures

  1. If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, see procedures in BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM harness connector C1. Using DVOM, check continuity between ground and BCM harness connector terminal C15 (Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, go to step 4).
  3. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Leave DVOM connected as indicated in step 2). If continuity is present, go to step 5). If continuity is not present, go to step 6).
  4. Replace BCM. Perform new BCM setup. See BCM PROGRAMMING  . After programming BCM, go to step 7).
  5. Repair short to ground in Black wire. After repairs, go to step 7).
  6. Replace RCDLR. After replacing RCDLR, go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. After clearing DTCs, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
