Diagnostic Procedures

  1. If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, see procedures in BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM harness connector C3. Using test light connected to ground, backprobe BCM harness connector terminal "J" (Orange wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 4)
  3. Replace BCM. Perform new BCM setup. See BCM PROGRAMMING  . After programming BCM, go to step 5).
  4. Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between BCM harness connector terminal "J" and fuse block.
  5. Reinstall components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Clear DTCs using scan tool. After clearing DTCs, perform procedures in BCM diagnostic system check. See BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
