Only Forward/Back Motor Inoperative

  1. Ensure power seat switch is properly connected. Using test light, backprobe between power seat switch connector terminals "G" (Light Green wire) and "H" (Tan wire). See Figure . Move power seat switch to forward and back positions. If test light comes on in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not come on in both positions, go to step 3).
  2. Using test light, backprobe between ground and forward/back motor connector terminal "A" (Tan wire). Move power seat switch to forward position. If test light comes on, go to step 4). If test light does not come on, go to step 5).
  3. Replace power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  4. Using test light, backprobe between ground and forward/back motor connector terminal "B" (Light Green wire). Move power seat switch to back position. If test light comes on, go to step 6). If test light does not come on, go to step 7).
  5. Repair open in Tan wire between power seat switch and forward/back motor. Recheck system operation.
  6. Replace forward/back motor. See POWER SEAT ADJUSTERS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  7. Repair open in Light Green wire between power seat switch and forward/back motor. Recheck system operation.
