Oil Pressure Indicator Lights Continuously With No Loss Of Serial Data

  1. Using scan tool, monitor PCM. If PCM is commanding oil pressure indicator ON, go to appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section:

    If PCM is not commanding oil pressure indicator ON, go to next step.

  2. Using scan tool, monitor BFC SPI serial data link. If BFC is commanding oil pressure indicator OFF and indicator is illuminated, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
