Diagnostic Aids

Scan tool reads class 2 messages with ignition switch in RUN position. Use DVOM to compare scan tool values to actual values. If reference voltage is greater than 5.25 volts, perform DTC B1398 diagnostics first. Perform visual checks of wiring and harness connectors for intermittent and poor connections.
