Panic Alarm Does Not Operate From RKE Transmitters
- Syncronize RKE transmitter. See RESYNCRONIZING TRANSMITTERS under PROGRAMMING PROCEDURES. Test operation of RKE transmitter button. If panic alarm operates, system is okay. If panic alarm does not operate, go to next step.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located behind instrument panel on left side. Select RFA TEST FUNCTION. Request panic alarm to turn on. If panic alarm turn on, go to next step. If panic alarm does not turn on, go to step 4).
- Using scan tool, select RFA DATA LIST FUNCTION - KEY FOB INFO. While observing scan tool, press RKE transmitter panic button. If RFA module receives RKE transmitter command, replace RFA module. If RFA module does not receive RKE transmitter command, replace RKE transmitter.
- Check RFA module connector for poor terminal contact. Repair as necessary. If RFA module connection is okay, replace RFA module.
