Mirror Does Not Manually Move In Any Direction
- If diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If diagnostic system check was not performed, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Turn ignition off. Ground memory seat diagnostic connector. Memory seat/memory mirror control module will chime once to indicate Mode 1 has been entered. Operate left outside mirror switch in all directions. Memory seat/memory mirror control module should chime once at each switch input. If no switch input causes a chime to sound, go to next step. If any switch input causes a chime to sound, go to MIRROR DOES NOT MANUALLY MOVE LEFT OR RIGHT or MIRROR DOES NOT MANUALLY MOVE UP OR DOWN.
- Disconnect left outside mirror switch Black 8-pin connector. Using DVOM, check voltage between left outside mirror switch harness connector terminal "E" (Orange wire) and ground. If reading is about 12 volts, go to next step. If reading is not about 12 volts, go to step 7).
- Check voltage between left outside mirror switch harness connector terminals "E" (Orange wire) and "D" (Black wire). If reading is about 12 volts, go to next step. If reading is not about 12 volts, go to step 8).
- On left mirror, check for open in Light Blue wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/memory mirror control module Blue 32-pin connector C2. On right mirror, check for open in Gray wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/memory mirror control module Blue 32-pin connector C2. If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 9).
- Replace left outside mirror switch. See MIRRORS - POWER article. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK.
- Repair open or short to ground in Orange wire between left outside mirror switch and instrument panel fuse block. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Repair open in Black wire between left outside mirror switch and ground. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Repair open in Light Blue or Gray wire between left outside mirror switch and memory seat/memory mirror control module Blue 32-pin connector C2. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
