  5. Reinstall switched ignition fuse and battery feed fuse. Disconnect EBCM connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between negative battery terminal and ground circuit (Black or Black/White wire) of EBCM connector. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 15). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to step 25).
  6. Using scan tool, display DTCs. If any current DTCs are set, go to appropriate DTC for diagnosis. If no current DTCs are set, go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition off. Observe ABS warning indicator. If indicator illuminates for 3 seconds and then goes out, go to next step. If indicator does not illuminate for 3 seconds, go to step 24).
  8. Using scan tool, display DTCs. If any history DTCs are set, review enhanced diagnostics information in scan tool operation manual. If no history DTCs are set, system is okay. Proceed to DIAGNOSIS & TESTING  for further diagnosis.
  9. Replace switched ignition fuse. Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition off. Remove and check switched ignition fuse. See SWITCHED IGNITION FUSE IDENTIFICATION table. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If fuse is blown, go to next step. If switched ignition fuse is okay, go to step 26).
  10. Disconnect EBCM connector. Replace switched ignition fuse. Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition off. Remove and check switched ignition ICC IGN fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If fuse is blown, go to step 27). If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  11. Check switched ignition circuit (Pink or Brown wire) between fuse block and EBCM for damage which could result in a short to ground with EBCM connector connected. Check EBCM connector and wiring harness for damage which could result in a short to ground with EBCM connector connected. Reconnect all connectors. Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition off. Remove and check switched ignition ICC IGN fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If fuse is blown, go to step 39). If fuse is okay, review enhanced diagnostics information in scan tool operation manual.
  12. Replace battery feed fuse. Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition off. Remove and check battery feed ICC BATT fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If fuse is blown, go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step 28).
  13. Disconnect EBCM connector. Replace battery feed fuse. Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition off. Remove and check battery feed ICC BATT fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If fuse is blown, go to step 29). If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  14. Check battery feed circuit (Orange wire) between fuse block and EBCM for damage which could result in a short to ground with EBCM connector connected. Check EBCM connector and wiring harness for damage which could result in a short to ground with EBCM connector connected. Reconnect all connectors. Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. Turn ignition off. Remove and check battery feed ICC BATT fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If fuse is blown, go to step 38). If fuse is okay, review enhanced diagnostics information in scan tool operation manual.
  15. Using DVOM, measure voltage between battery feed circuit (Orange wire) of EBCM connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, go to step 19).
  16. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM set to DC scale, measure voltage between switched ignition circuit (Pink or Brown wire) of EBCM connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If battery voltage is not present, go to step 20). If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
  17. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect positive battery cable. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure resistance between positive battery terminal and battery feed circuit (Orange wire) of EBCM connector. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . Also, measure resistance between positive battery terminal and switched ignition circuit (Pink or Brown wire) of EBCM connector. If resistance is 0-2 ohms on both measurements, go to next step. If resistance is not 0-2 ohms on both measurements, go to step 21).
  18. Check EBCM and EBCM harness connector terminals for poor terminal contact. Check battery terminals and battery cable terminals for poor connection. Repair or replace faulty terminals. After repairs, go to step 1).
  19. Turn ignition off. Remove battery feed fuse. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect positive battery cable. Using DVOM, measure resistance of battery feed circuit (Orange wire) between fuse block and EBCM connector. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 30). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to step 31).
  20. Turn ignition off. Remove switched ignition fuse. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect positive battery cable. Turn ignition on.
