DTC B2533, Front FOGLIGHT Relay Output Short To Battery
- If BFC diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BFC diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Using scan tool, activate foglight relay. If foglight relay activates, go to step 9). If foglight relay does not activate, go to next step.
- Replace foglight relay with a known good relay. Foglight relay is located in right I/P bussed electrical center. Using scan tool, activate foglight relay. If foglight relay activates, go to step 9). If foglight relay does not activate, go to next step.
- Remove foglight relay from right I/P bussed electrical center. Back out right I/P bussed electrical center connector C1, terminal F3 (Dark Green/White wire). Using DVOM, check voltage between right I/P bussed electrical center connector C1, terminal F3 (Dark Green/White wire) and ground. If zero volts exists, go to step 6). If zero volts does not exist, go to next step.
- Replace right I/P bussed electrical center connector. See INSTRUMENT PANEL article. Go to step 9).
- Disconnect BFC 16-pin connector C1, terminal A2 (Dark Green/White wire). Using DVOM, check voltage between right I/P bussed electrical center harness connector C1, terminal F3 (Dark Green/White wire) and ground. If zero volts exists, go to next step. If zero volts does not exist, go to step 8).
- Replace BFC. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Go to step 9).
- Repair short to battery in Dark Green/White wire between BFC connector C1 and right I/P bussed electrical center connector C1. Go to next step.
- Clear DTCs. Perform BFC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
