Preliminary Checks
- Check IGN 1 fuse (10-amp) and TMNSS fuse (15-amp) in instrument panel fuse block. Check I/P 1 fuse (10-amp) in right rear power distribution center fuse block No. 1. Check PWR ST circuit breaker (25-amp) in right rear power distribution center fuse block No. 2. Ensure ground connections are clean and tight. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment.
- On Aurora, if I/P 1 fuse is blown, power is still supplied from HZRD/STOP fuse (20-amp) to left seat/lock switch, left seat switch and outside mirror switch. These components may not be completely shut down.
- On all models, if memory seat/memory mirror control module will not enter self-diagnostics, ensure memory seat diagnostic connector is properly grounded. Check for open in Yellow/Black wire. Check for poor connections. If connections and circuits are okay, replace memory seat/mirror control module.
- If parallel parking mode is inoperative and memory recall functions when gearshift lever is out of Park, check for open or short to ground in Brown wire. If circuit is okay, replace PNP switch.
- If seat motor internal circuit breaker is tripped, remove voltage from motor to reset. Check for broken or partially broken wire inside of insulation, which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded.
