Trunk Lid Release Does Not Operate Properly From Transmitters
- Disconnect remote control door lock receiver Black 16-pin connector C1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using DVOM, check for voltage between remote control door lock receiver connector C1, terminal "J" (Pink wire) and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check for open in Pink wire between fuse block and remote control door lock receiver.
- Using a fused jumper, connect connector C1 terminal "G" (Black wire) to battery voltage. If trunk release activates, go to next step. If trunk release does not activate, check for open circuit or short to ground in Black wire between remote control door lock receiver and trunk lid release solenoid. If circuit is okay, replace trunk release solenoid. Verify system operation.
- Check continuity to ground at remote control door lock receiver connector terminal "K" (White/Black wire) with transaxle in Park or Neutral (A/T) or with parking brake applied (M/T). If continuity does not exist, check for open circuit in White/Black wire between remote control door lock receiver and transaxle range switch (A/T) or parking brake switch (M/T). If continuity exists, go to next step.
- Replace remote control door lock receiver. Reprogram transmitters. See PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE. Verify system operation.
