Trouble Shooting

  1. Check all fuses. Ensure all connectors in system are mated correctly. Check for open in Purple wire between Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal No. 50 and Body Function Controller (BFC) terminal B2. Using a scan tool, check for engine performance related DTCs. See appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.

Check for IPC DTCs and go to next step. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC)  .

2) Do not replace BFC with only history codes set. Check for a broken or partially broken wires. Check for correct installation of aftermarket electronic equipment. Ensure all grounds are clean and tight.
