Remote Function Actuator (RFA) System Inoperative

  1. Check instrument panel fuse block CHIME fuse and rear fuse block I/P 1 fuse. Replace as necessary. If fuses are okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect RFA module connector. Connect test light between RFA module harness connector terminal E16 (Orange) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Orange wire.
  3. Turn ignition on. Connect test light between RFA module harness connector terminal E15 (Pink wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Pink wire.
  4. Connect test light between RFA module harness connector terminal F16 (Black wire) and voltage. If test light comes on, check for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RFA module. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Black wire.
