Check Oil Level Message Does Not Light With Oil Level Low

NOTE: Before performing test, check SHIFT SOL fuse (10-amp) in instrument panel fuse block.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect oil level module connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between oil level module connector terminal "B" (Pink wire) and ground. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check Pink wire for a short circuit to ground.
  2. Check Black/White ground wire at oil level module connector for an open circuit and repair as necessary. If wire is okay, reconnect engine oil level sensor. Backprobe and measure voltage between engine oil level sensor connector terminal "C" (Brown wire) and ground.
  3. If any voltage is present, check Brown wire for a short or open circuit. If wire is okay, replace PCM. If no voltage was present, check connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace oil level module.
