3T40 Transaxle: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Adjust shift cable. See TRANSMISSION SERVICING - A/T article.

1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Apply a thin film of chassis grease to torque converter pilot hub. Adjust transaxle throttle valve cable and shift cable. See TRANSMISSION SERVICING - A/T article.
2. When connecting neutral safety switch connector, ensure "T" latch on connector is secure to prevent intermittent operation of switch due to poor connections. Fill transaxle to proper fluid level.
