Powertrain Control Module (Pcm): Removal
IMPORTANT:
To prevent internal PCM damage, the ignition must be OFF when disconnecting or reconnecting power to PCM (for example, battery cable, PCM pigtail, PCM fuse, jumper cables, etc.). The ignition should be OFF for at least 10 seconds before disconnecting power to the PCM so the IAC valve has time to move to the engine OFF position.
Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position for at least 10 seconds. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove electrical connectors from PCM. Remove PCM from vehicle. Remove access cover and remove knock sensor module or PROM (if applicable) from PCM.
