Boost Gauge Test

  1. Disconnect Boost/MAP sensor connector. Turn ignition on. Connect voltmeter between sensor connector terminal "C" (White wire) and ground. If 5 volts are present, go to next step. If 5 volts are not present, check White and Gray wires for an open or short circuit to ground. Also check all connectors for good terminal contact.
  2. Connect voltmeter between sensor connector terminals "C" (White wire) and "A" (Black/White wire). If 5 volts are present, go to next step. If 5 volts are not present, check Black/White wire for an open circuit.
  3. Connect fused jumper wire between sensor connector terminals "C" (White wire) and "B" (Gray wire). If boost gauge indicates 10 or more, check sensor connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace boost/MAP sensor. If boost gauge indicates less than 10, check Gray and Yellow/Black wires for an open or short circuit to ground. Check all connectors for good terminal contact.
