Trunk Lid Release Relay Test
- Remove trunk lid release relay. Check for battery voltage at relay connector terminal No. 1 (Orange wire). If battery voltage is not present, check Orange wiring for an open or short circuit to ground. Also check relay center fuse No. 4.
- If battery voltage is present, check for battery voltage at relay connector terminal No. 5 (Orange wire). If battery voltage is not present, check Orange wire for an open circuit.
- If battery voltage is present, momentarily connect a fused jumper wire between relay terminals No. 4 (Black/White wire) and No. 5 (Orange wire). Trunk lid should release. If trunk lid does not release, check Black wire and trunk lid release actuator connector for an open circuit. If wiring and connections are okay, replace trunk lid release actuator.
- If trunk lid releases, connect a test light between relay terminals No. 1 (Orange wire) and No. 2 (Light Blue wire). Press transmitter TRUNK button. Test light should flash once. If test light does not flash once, check Light Blue wire for an open circuit and RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If all testing is okay, replace RAC module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Program new RAC. See PROGRAMMING .
