Remote Door Locking Test

  1. Disconnect Remote Accessory Control (RAC) module 10-pin connector. Connect a jumper wire between connector terminal "A" (Black wire) and battery voltage. Doors should unlock. If doors do not unlock, check Black wire for an open or short circuit to ground.
  2. If doors unlock, connect a jumper wire between connector terminal "E" (Light Blue wire) and battery voltage. Doors should lock. If doors do not lock, check Light Blue wire for an open or short circuit to ground.
  3. If doors lock, use an ohmmeter to measure resistance between connector terminal "B" (Yellow wire) and ground. Infinite ohms should be present. If infinite ohms are not present, check Yellow wire for a short to ground.
  4. If infinite ohms are present, use an ohmmeter to check connector terminal "K" (Black wire) for continuity. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair Black wire for an open circuit.
  5. If all checks are okay, check RAC module 10-pin connector for proper terminal contact. If terminals are okay, replace RAC module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Program new RAC. Refer to PROGRAMMING  .
