ECM Data Line

  1. If all components cannot be accessed with a scan tool, check the 800 circuit wire for an open between DLC terminal "M" and splice S237. See Figure and WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. If a single component cannot be accessed with a scan tool, check the 800 circuit wire for an open between the component and splice S237. Repair wiring as necessary. If wiring is okay, go to next step.
  3. If wire is okay, perform PCM replacement check. See PCM REPLACEMENT CHECK in BASIC TESTING in ENGINE PERFORMANCE, SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article in RESTRAINTS, or DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS in ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM - ABS-VI article in BRAKES.
