Air Bag (Inflator) Module: Removal

  1. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Disable SIR system. See AIR BAG DISABLING & ACTIVATING  .
  2. Loosen screws behind steering wheel until air bag module can be released from steering wheel. Pull up air bag module, and then disconnect electrical connectors from module. Remove module.
