Normal program control is resumed in one of following 3 ways:

  1. Selection of another override will cancel current override.
  2. Selection of another system (ECM, BCM, IPC or SIR) will cancel current override.
  3. An overriding value beyond either extreme (0 or 99) will momentarily display "--" before resuming value. Releasing control button while "--" is displayed will resume normal program and display will start alternating. Override test is unique because another test (i.e., DATA, INPUTS or OUTPUTS) can be selected and be active at same time as override test. After selecting override test, press OFF button (non-CRT equipped) or touch LEVL key (CRT equipped) to allow selection of another test type. ECCP (or CRT monitor) will continue to display selected override. Press OFF and WARM or COOL buttons at same time (non-CRT equipped) or touch LEVL and SLEW keys at same time (CRT equipped) to monitor effect of override on different parameters.
NOTE: To exit diagnostics without clearing codes, depress BI-LEV button on ECCP (non-CRT) or touch RTN key on CRT monitor panel.
