Throttle Body (PFI): Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure using new gasket. Tighten retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article. Refill cooling system.
  2. If installing new Idle Air Control (IAC), ensure IAC pintle length setting is adjusted before installation. See IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE . Adjust idle speed and TPS (if removed and if adjustable). See appropriate ADJUSTMENTS article in this section.
