Test H: Seat Reclining Functions Operate In One Direction Only
- Connect a voltmeter to the disconnected suspect Seat Recline Relay Connector.
- Move the Recliner Switch to the OFF position.
- Check for battery voltage between Seat Recline Relay Connector terminal No. 4 and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the voltage is not as specified, check/repair the ORN/BLK (60) wire for an open or short to ground.
- Check for battery voltage between Seat Recline Relay Connector terminals No. 3 and 4. If the voltage is not as specified, check/repair the BLK (151) wire for an open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Move the Recliner Switch to the suspect position.
- Check for battery voltage between Seat Recline Relay Connector terminal No. 5 and ground. If the voltage is not as specified, check the YEL (1025), LT GRN (1024), GRY (1266), or PNK (1265) wire for an open or short to ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the wires are good, replace the Console Seat Switch. See SEAT SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Check for battery voltage between Seat Recline Relay Connector terminals No. 2 and 5. If the voltage is not as specified, check/repair the TAN/BLK (797 and 798) wires for an open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- If all of the voltages are as specified, check the GRN or RED wire for a short to ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the wire is good, replace the suspect Seat Recline Relay.
