Preliminary Checks

Perform the following checks prior to performing System Checks.

1. Always check terminal contacts before replacing any component.
2. If Express Down function does not operate, but window operates, check for battery voltage at terminal A of the Express Down Window Module connector and DK BLU (164) wire from terminal C of Express Down Window Module to splice S500 for an open. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If both checks are OK, replace Express Down Window Module.
3. If a motor's internal circuit breaker trips, it will not reset until voltage is removed from the motor.
4. If power windows do not operate for approximately 10 minutes (or until a door is opened) after ignition switch is turned to OFF, check for problems in the Retained Accessory Power circuit.
