Speedometer Does Not Function And ECM Code 24 Is Not Set
- Put ignition switch ON, A/T in neutral and cruise control switch on. Raise all wheels off ground. Measure between connector B8 (Dark Green) and ground for less than 1 to greater than 8.5 VDC while rotating drive wheels. If voltage is correct, proceed with step 2). If voltage is incorrect, go to step 3).
- Lower vehicle. Leave ignition switch and cruise control ON. Check for 5 VDC between connector D (Dark Green) and ground of cruise module. Check for battery voltage between connectors C5 or D15 (Dark Green) and ground of cluster. Check for battery voltage between connectors 2 (Dark Green) and ground of safety belt timer module. If voltage is correct, check for short in Dark Green (389) wire. If voltage is incorrect, check operation of module where measurement was taken.
- Leave ignition switch and cruise control ON. Measure between connector B8 (Dark Green) and ground for greater than 8.5 VDC. If voltage is correct, inspect ECM terminals. If terminals are okay, replace ECM. If voltage is incorrect, check for short in Dark Green wire.
