Throttle Body: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure; use new gasket. Tighten retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article. Refill cooling system.
  2. If installing new Idle Air Control (IAC), ensure IAC pintle length setting before installing. See IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE under FUEL SYSTEM (PFI)  . Adjust idle speed and TPS (if removed). See procedures in ADJUSTMENTS article.
