Code BS01, Program Number
When trouble shooting a malfunction, BCM override feature allows testing of certain system functions regardless of normal program instructions. Upon selecting a test, selection's current operation will be represented as a percentage of its full range.
On CRT equipped vehicles, pressing "SLEW" key pad will increase or decrease override value. See Figure .
On non-CRT equipped vehicles, pressing the "COOL" or "WARM" button will decrease or increase override value. See Figure .
On all models, program number can be increased until a value of "99" is reached ("MAX HEAT") or decreased until a value of "0" is reached ("MAX A/C" mode).
Normal program control can be achieved in three ways: Selection of another override test will cancel current override, selection of another system will cancel current override or overriding value beyond values given to particular system.
Override feature or test type is unique in that any other test type within selected system may be active at the same time. After selection of override test, pressing "LEVL" pad on CRT models or fan speed button on non-CRT vehicles, will allow selection of another test type. Control panel will continue to display selected override. When selecting another test type, it is possible to monitor effect of override on different vehicle parameters.
