B: Pass Key Decoder Module Test 2

Measure resistance at the PASS KEY DECODER MODULE CONNECTOR (Disconnected). The condition should be with no key in the ignition switch.

B: PASS KEY DECODER MODULE TEST 2(1)

Measure Between Correct Voltage For Diagnosis
A6 (Purple/Yellow) & Ground Open Circuit See 1
A6 (Purple/White) & B2 (White/Black) Open Circuit See 2
(2) A6 (Purple/Yellow) & B2 (White/Black) In the range of 380 to 12.3 Kohms See 3
(1) If resistance is correct but engine will not crank, replace the PASS Key Decoder Module.

(2) Key in the ignition.
  1. Check the Purple/Yellow (1074) wire for a short to ground. The short may be in the steering column.
  2. Check the White/Black (1073) and Purple/Yellow (1074) wires for shorts between the two wires.
  3. Check White/Black (1073) and Purple/Yellow (1074) wires for an open.
