B: Pass Key Decoder Module Test 1

Measure voltage at the PASS KEY DECODER MODULE CONNECTOR (Disconnected). The condition should be with the ignition switch in the RUN position.

B: PASS KEY DECODER MODULE TEST 1(1)

Measure Between Correct Voltage For Diagnosis
A1 (Pink/Black) & Ground Battery See 1
B8 (Orange) & Ground Battery See 2
A1 (Pink/Black) & B1 (Black/White) Battery See 3
A2 (Dark Blue) & B1 (Black/White) 5 Volts See 4
(2) A3 (Black/Yellow) & Ground Battery See 5
(1) If voltages are correct, go to TABLE 2.

(2) Turn ignition switch to START position.
  1. Check the Pink/Black (439) wire and fuse 7 for an open.
  2. Check the Orange (480) wire and fusible link G for an open.
  3. Check the Black/White (803) wire for an open.
  4. Check the Dark Blue (229) wire for an open or a short to ground. If wire is good, replace PCM.
  5. Check Black/Yellow (625) wire for an open. If wire is good, do Test C.
