Removal (2.3L)

  1. Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF (PFI)  under FUEL SYSTEM (PFI). Remove crankcase ventilation oil/separator.
  2. Remove fuel lines from fuel rail. Remove vacuum line at pressure regulator. Disconnect wiring connector while pushing inward on connector. Remove fuel rail retaining bolts. Remove fuel rail. See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove injector-to-fuel rail retaining clip. Remove injector from fuel rail. Remove injector "O" rings.
