Window Regulator Motor: Removal
- Remove door trim panel and water deflector. See TRIM PANEL
and WATER DEFLECTOR
.
- With glass in full-up position, tape glass to door frame.
- Remove lower sash bolts. See Fig 1
.
- Punch out center pins of rivets holding regulator to door inner panel.
- Using 6.3 mm (1/4 in) drill bit, drill out rivets.
- Move regulator and motor assembly rearward and remove electrical connector.
- With regulator in door, drill out regulator to motor rivets using a 4.8 mm (3/16 in) drill bit. Remove motor.
