Windshield Washer Pump Inoperative (Pulse Wiper System)

  1. Disconnect windshield washer pump wiring harness connector (C154). See Figure . Turn ignition to ACCY position. Turn wiper switch to WASH. Connect test light between windshield washer pump wiring harness connector (C154) terminal No. 94 (Pink wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 3).
  2. Connect test light between windshield washer pump wiring harness connector (C154) terminal No. 94 (Pink wire) and terminal No. 150 (Black wire). Turn wiper switch to WASH position. If test light does not comes on, repair open circuit in Black wire from windshield washer pump to ground. If test light does come on, repair or replace windshield washer pump.
  3. Connect test light between wiper motor connector (C155) terminal No. 91 (Gray wire) and ground. Turn wiper switch to WASH position. Turn ignition to ACCY position. If test light does not come on, repair or replace wiper switch. If test light comes on, go to next step.
  4. Connect test light between wiper motor connector (C155) terminal No. 98 (Orange wire) and ground. Turn ignition to ACCY position. If test light does not come on, repair or replace wiper motor. If test light comes on, repair open circuit in Orange wire between wiper motor and switch. If wire is not open, replace wiper switch.
