Power Steering (P/S) Switch

This switch informs ECM of engine load conditions which exist when steering wheel is turned from center to full lock position. Information is used by ECM to help control idle speed. To check function of P/S switch, perform functional check of switch. See SYSTEMS & COMPONENT TESTING article in this section.
