Wipers Run Continuously In Delay Mode
(No Delay Between Wipes)
1) With ignition on, operate wipers at low, medium and high speeds. Also check if wipers shut off properly. If wipers operate in high or low speed only, go to appropriate test.
2) With wiper switch adjusted to mid-delay and wipers operating, disconnect lead from terminal No. 6. If wipers continue to run, go to step 3). If wipers stop running, go to step 4).
3) Remove washer pump cover. Reconnect all wiring to wiper motor. With wipers running continuously in delay mode, disconnect lead to timing circuit from pulse relay. If wipers stop, replace timing circuit assembly. If wipers continue to operate, replace pulse relay.
4) If wipers stop, check for grounded circuit between terminal No. 6 and wiper switch. If okay, replace wiper switch.
