Chart 3, Compressor Always Engaged (TORONADO)
Chart 3 is used whenever the A/C compressor remains engaged when the A/C mode is "OFF" on the ECC.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
- This step checks to see if the fault is due to mechanical binding of the clutch and shorted control signal, or faulty signal to the power module.
- This step checks to see if the faulty signal to the power module is due to a fault in the power module or in the ECM and its control signal circuit.
- This step checks to see if the fault is due to mechanical binding of the clutch or a shorted control signal circuit, including the relay.
