In-Car Temperature Sensor

This sensor is located under the center A/C register. See Fig. 3. To provide an accurate in-car temperature a small amount of in-car air is drawn over the thermistor.

This air movement is accomplished through the use of an aspirator. See Figure . Airflow from the HVAC module creates a slight vacuum at one end of the aspirator which draws in-car air into the aspirator and over the thermistor.

The resistance value is sent to the BCM and used in ECC calculations.
