Code B336 will set if the ignition is on and the BCM is not able to exchange data with the IPC. This means the problem must be caused by 2 opens in the data circuit, one on either side of the IPC, or loss of power or ground to the IPC.

1. Checks to see if the fault is due to a data circuit problem, or a power or ground circuit problem.
2. Checks to see if the data circuit problem is due to the IPC or the wiring.
3. Checks to see if the open circuit is due to the CRTC. Installing a permanent jumper between the CRTC terminals will by-pass the opens.
4. Checks to see if the fault is due to opens in circuits 800G and 800H, or the IPC cannot react to the data it is receiving.
5. Checks to see if the power or ground circuit problem is due to the 12-volt circuits or the 7-volt and ground circuits.
6. Checks to see if the loss of 12-volt circuits is due to the wiring or the IPC.
7. Checks to see if the fault is due to the 7-volt circuit or the ground circuit.
