Removal and Installation

CAUTION:

Before replacing the BCM, perform "READ CONFIGURATION" to save or print current vehicle specifications. Refer to Description .
When replacing the BCM, a new BCM must be used. The functions controlled by the BCM do not operate properly if a BCM from another vehicle is used.

REMOVAL

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Remove instrument lower panel (LH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
Disconnect the harness connectors from the BCM.
Remove bolts (A) and remove BCM (1).

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING BCM". Refer to Work Procedure .
