No. Component Function
1. CVT shift selector (detent switch) (with CVT) CVT shift selector detects the shift lever status and transmits detent switch signal status to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
2. Transmission range switch(with CVT) Supplies power to the starter cut relay (inside IPDM E/R) when the CVT shift selector is shifted into the P or N position. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
3. Park/neutral position (PNP) switch (neutral switch) (with MT) Park/neutral position (PNP) switch (neutral switch) detects that the Transmission is in the neutral position, and transmits the signal to the BCM.
4. IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room) IPDM E/R detects hood open/closed signal and controls horns when horn chirp is required. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
5. ECM (Engine Control Module) ECM Sends transmission gear position to the BCM. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
6. Stop lamp switch Stop lamp switch detects that the brake pedal is depressed, and transmits the signal to the BCM. Refer to Stop lamp switch for detailed component location.
7. BCM (Body Control Module) BCM controls the door lock actuators. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
8. Clutch pedal position switch(with MT) Clutch pedal position switch detects that the clutch pedal is depressed, and transmits the signal to the BCM.
9. Clutch interlock switch(with MT) Clutch interlock switch detects that clutch pedal is depressed, then provides power source to starter control relay and starter relay, and transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
10. Combination meter
  • Combination meter transmits the vehicle speed signal to BCM via CAN communication.
  • BCM also receives the vehicle speed signal from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication. BCM compares both signals to detect the vehicle speed.
  • Security indicator lamp is located on combination meter.
  • Security indicator lamp blinks when ignition switch is in any position other than ON to warn that NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-NATS [NVIS (NATS)] is on board.
Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
11. NATS antenna amp. Refer to NATS Antenna Amp.
