System Description

SYSTEM DIAGRAM

OUTLINE 

INPUT SIGNAL AND OUTPUT SIGNAL 

Major signal transmission between each unit via communication lines is shown in the following table:

Component parts Signal description
IPDM E/R
  • Each unit transmits the sleep-ready signal (ready) to BCM via CAN communication.
  • Each unit receives the sleep signal (sleep) from BCM when all of the CAN sleep conditions are fulfilled.
  • Each unit receives the sleep wake-up signal (wake-up) from BCM via CAN communication.
  • Each unit transmits the wake up signal to BCM via CAN communication.

Electrically-driven Intelligent Brake unit
BCM
  • BCM receives the sleep-ready signal (ready) from each unit via CAN communication.
  • BCM transmits the sleep signal (sleep) to each unit when all of the CAN sleep conditions are fulfilled.
  • BCM transmits the sleep wake-up signal (wake-up) to each unit via CAN communication.
  • BCM receives the wake up signal from each unit via CAN communication.

LOW POWER CONSUMPTION CONTROL WITH BCM 

The BCM reduces the power consumption with the following operation in the low power consumption mode.

Sleep mode activation

  • 1 minute after placing power switch OFF
  • Theft warning alarm and panic alarm: No operation
  • Warning chime: No operation
  • Intelligent Key warning buzzer: No operation

  • Turn signal indicator lamp: No operation
  • Exterior lamp: OFF
  • Door lock status: No change
  • CONSULT communication status: No communication
  • Meter display signal: Non-transmission
  • Door switch status: No change
  • Front door LH lock status: No change
  • Interior room lamp battery saver: Time out*
  • RAP system: No operation
  • Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System (NVIS) - NATS: No operation
  • Remote keyless entry receiver communication status: No communication
  • TPMS: Stop
  • ACC/ON indicator lamp: No operation

Wake-up operation

  • Receiving the sleep-ready signal (Not-ready) from any units
  • Power switch (push switch) : OFF→ ON
  • Hazard switch: ON
  • HI BEAM switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • PASSING switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • HEADLAMP 1 switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • HEADLAMP 2 switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • TAIL LAMP switch: OFF → ON
  • FR FOG switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • TURN RH: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • TURN LH: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Front door switch LH: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Front door switch RH: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Rear door switch RH: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Rear door switch LH: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Back door lock assembly (door switch) : OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Front outside handle LH (request switch) : OFF → ON
  • Front outside handle RH (request switch) : OFF → ON
  • Back door opener assembly (request switch) : OFF → ON
  • Back door opener assembly (opener switch) : OFF → ON
  • Stop lamp switch: ON
  • Door lock and unlock switch: NEUTRAL → LOCK, NEUTRAL → UNLOCK
  • Front door lock assembly LH (door key cylinder switch) : NEUTRAL → LOCK, NEUTRAL → UNLOCK
  • Remote keyless entry receiver communication: Receiving
  • Front door lock assembly LH (unlock sensor) : OFF → ON, ON → OFF
