Removal and Installation: Removal

CAUTION:

Before removing the BCM, retrieve current BCM configuration to use for reference when configuring brand-new BCM after installation. Refer to System Description .

When replacing the BCM a new BCM must be used. The functions controlled by the BCM do not operate properly if a BCM from another vehicle is used.

NOTE: The BCM is located on the LH side of the instrument panel.

Disconnect the battery or batteries. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
Remove the instrument lower panel LH. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Remove the screws (A) and release the BCM.

Disconnect the harness connectors.
Remove the BCM (1).
