Work Procedure

WARNING:
Be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle when performing road test.
CAUTION:
Fully understand the following items well before the road test;
- Precautions: Refer to Blind Spot Warning/Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) System Service .
- System description for RCTA: Refer to System Description .
- Normal operating condition: Refer to Description .
- CHECK BSW/RCTA SYSTEM SETTING
- Start the engine.
- Check that the BSW system setting can be enabled/disabled using the integral switch on the combination meter information display.
- Turn OFF the ignition switch and wait for 30 seconds or more.
- Check that the previous setting is saved when the engine starts again.
- Check that the sonar system OFF switch is pressed and the sonar system OFF switch indicator turns ON.
GO TO 2 .
- ACTION TEST FOR RCTA
- Check the RCTA operation according to the following table:

If the radar detects an approaching vehicle from the side.
- Chime sound (single beep)
- Flashes Blind Spot Warning indicator on the side of the approaching vehicle is detected.
- Yellow rectangular frame appears in the display.
