Input Signal And Output Signal

Major signal transmission between each unit via communication lines is shown in the following table.

Signal description

VCM

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module via CAN communication.

  • Accelerator pedal position signal
  • Shift position signal
  • Estimate traction motor torque signal
  • Request drive torque signal
  • Request drive torque status signal
  • e-Pedal switch signal
  • e-Pedal malfunction signal
  • Estimate slop signal
  • ASCD status signal
  • Coast deceleration torque signal
  • Motor speed signal

Mainly receives the following signals from chassis control module via CAN communication.

  • e-Pedal malfunction signal
  • Slop estimate permission signal
  • Coast limit torque signal
  • Smooth stop signal

Mainly receives the following signals from electrically-driven intelligent brake unit via CAN communication.

  • Brake fluid pressure signal

Mainly receives the following signals from combination meter via CAN communication.

  • e-Pedal mode memory setting signal

ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module via CAN communication.

  • Front LH wheel speed signal
  • Front RH wheel speed signal
  • Rear LH wheel speed signal
  • Rear RH wheel speed signal
  • TCS operation signal
  • VDC operation signal
  • Side G signal
  • VDC OFF signal

Electrically-driven intelligent brake unit

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module via CAN communication.

  • Driver brake signal
  • Brake hold status signal
  • Brake hold permission signal
  • Target braking force signal
  • Electrically-driven intelligent brake unit malfunction signal
  • Stop and hold temporary inhibit signal

Mainly receives the following signals from VCM via CAN communication.

  • Accelerator pedal position signal
  • Shift position signal
  • Estimate traction motor torque signal
  • Coast deceleration torque signal
  • Coast torque correction request signal

Mainly receives the following signals from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication.

  • Front LH wheel speed signal
  • Front RH wheel speed signal
  • Rear LH wheel speed signal
  • Rear RH wheel speed signal
  • Decel G signal

Mainly receives the following signals from chassis control module via CAN communication.

  • Brake hold request signal
  • Chassis control module malfunction signal

IPDM E/R

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module via CAN communication.

  • Power switch ON signal

BCM

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module via CAN communication.

  • Stop lamp switch signal

Mainly receives the following signals from chassis control module via CAN communication.

Steering angle sensor
