1. |
Rear door switch RH |
Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Rear Door Switch LH/RH for detailed component location. |
|
2. |
Front door switch RH |
Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Front Door Switch LH/RH for detailed component location. |
|
3. |
Power window and door lock/unlock switch |
Power window and door lock/unlock switch transmits door lock/unlock signal operation to BCM. Refer to Power window and door lock/unlock switch for detailed component location. |
|
4. |
Push-button ignition switch/NATS antenna amp. |
Push-button ignition switch has push switch inside which detects that push-button ignition switch is pressed, and then transmits ON/OFF signal to Intelligent Key unit. Intelligent Key unit changes the ignition switch position with the operation of push-button ignition switch. Intelligent Key unit maintains the ignition switch position status while push-button ignition switch is not operated. Refer to NATS Antenna Amp. . |
|
5. |
Inside key antenna (instrument center) |
Inside key antenna (instrument center) detects whether Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle or not, and then transmits the signal to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Inside Key Antenna (Instrument Center) for detailed component location. |
|
6. |
Intelligent Key unit |
Intelligent Key unit controls INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (ENGINE START FUNCTION), NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-NATS [NVIS (NATS)] and VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM. Intelligent Key unit performs the ID verification between Intelligent Key unit and Intelligent Key when the Intelligent Key is carried into the detection area of inside key antenna, and push-button ignition switch is pressed. If the ID verification result is OK, push-button ignition switch operation is available. Then, when the push-button ignition switch is pressed ON, Intelligent Key unit performs ID verification between Intelligent Key unit and ECM. If the ID verification result is OK, ECM can start engine. |
|
7. |
Horn |
The horn is operated when the panic button on the Intelligent Key is pressed or the alarm is activated. |
|
8. |
Hood switch (if equipped) |
Hood switch transmits hood open/closed signal to the IPDM E/R. Refer to HOOD SWITCH . |
|
9. |
Transmission range switch |
Refer to Transmission Range Switch for detailed component location. |
|
10. |
IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room) |
IPDM E/R detects hood open/closed signal and controls horns when horn chirp is required. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location. |
|
11. |
ECM (Engine Control Module) |
ECM controls the engine. When ignition switch is place ON, BCM starts communication with ECM and performs the ID verification between BCM and ECM.
Refer to Component Location for detailed component location. |
|
12. |
Stop lamp switch |
Refer to Stop lamp switch for detailed component location. |
|
13. |
BCM (Body Control Module) |
BCM controls the door lock actuators. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location. |
|
14. |
Combination meter |
Combination meter transmits the vehicle speed signal to BCM via CAN communication. BCM also receives the vehicle speed signal from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication. BCM compares both signals to detect the vehicle speed. Security indicator lamp is located on combination meter. Security indicator lamp blinks when push-button ignition switch is in any position other than ON to warn that NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-NATS [NVIS (NATS)] is on board. Refer to Component Location (Type A) or Component Location (Type B) for detailed component location. |
|
15. |
Main power window and door lock/unlock switch |
Main power window and door lock/unlock switch transmits door lock/unlock signal operation to BCM. Refer to Main power window and door lock/unlock switch for detailed component location. |
|
16. |
CVT shift selector (detent switch) |
CVT shift selector detects the shift lever status and transmits park position switch signal status to the Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Component Location for detailed component location. |
|
17. |
Front door switch LH |
Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Front Door Switch LH/RH for detailed component location. |
|
18. |
Rear door switch LH |
Door switch detects door open/close condition and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM. Refer to Rear Door Switch LH/RH for detailed component location. |
|
19. |
Back door lock assembly (door ajar switch) |
Back door lock actuator locks/unlocks the back door latch assembly. |
