Disassembly and Assembly: Assembly

  1. Install the bleeder valve and cap. Refer to Exploded View .
  2. Apply brake fluid to the piston seal (1), and install the piston seal to the brake caliper body.

    CAUTION: Do not reuse the piston seal.
  3. Apply grease to the piston boot (1). Apply brake fluid to the piston (2). Cover the piston end with the piston boot, and then install the cylinder side lip on the piston boot securely into the groove on the brake caliper body.

  4. Push the piston (1) into the brake caliper body by hand and push the piston boot (2) piston side lip into the piston groove.

    CAUTION: Press the piston evenly and vary the pressing point to prevent the cylinder inner wall from contact.
  5. Apply grease to the bushing.
  6. Install the bushing to the slide pin.
  7. Apply grease to the slide pin boots and the slide pins.
  8. Install the slide pin boots and the slide pins to the torque member.
  9. Install the brake caliper to the vehicle. Refer to Removal and Installation .
